Erase Bad Credit
If illness causes bad credit can you erase it from your report?
I’m only 30 years old but I had cancer twice since college and it left me unable to work or pay my bills for a few years. If I offer the credit beureas proof of this will they erase my bad credit?
Edward: I know d** well what cancer is and it certainly isn’t the blaze definition you gave it… a definition ONLY someone who knows absolutely nothing about this disease would give. How dare you accuse a person you never met of lying. Did you even read the question moron? I’d already mentioned proof would be able to be provided to the agencies. I believe in Karma my friend and you’re going to think back on this moment when you find out the hard way how Cancer really works.
Credit bureaus only report information that is reported to them. As long as the information is correct there is no way to remove it until it falls off on it’s own after the reporting time line expires which for most accounts is 7.5 years.
You can write a letter to each of the 3 credit bureaus explaining your problem, this information will show so anyone that pulls your report will see it but it will not remove the bad credit.
Most lenders take this into consideration when looking at loan and credit applications.
