How can I start to create a Good Credit Rating?

I am 20 and I haven’t got a car or license (and don’t intend on getting either in the near future) and I haven’t ever had any bills in my name yet (still living at home saving) so I don’t think I would have any sort of a credit rating at all besides my savings I suppose. What are some ways I can start to get a decent credit rating?

Having bills in your name does nothing for Your Credit Rating.
Forget to pay them – and then.. they will report negatively
A savings account also does not report to the bureaus.

Other things that do not do anything for your credit.
Getting a cell phone, renting an apartment, renting furniture.

There is an easy way to get top credit.
Get a credit card and pay in full each month.
Carrying balances decreases your credit worhtiness.
You can achieve 800+ scores in a matter of years by never carrying balances and never paying interest.

Try store cards and gas cards – easiest to get.
You will need a job and a checking account in good standing for more than 6 months in order to get a credit card.

Check to see if you have credit.
Go to annualcreditreport.com
And try to print out all 3 of your credit reports.
Check your reports once a year, starting at age 18.
Note: You may not have anything – you may not get a report.
